Weekly diary of a 200-hour Hot Yoga Teacher Training - Introduction

In July 2019, I had one of the most important and memorable experiences of my life: 200-hour hot Vinyasa Yoga Teacher Training at Hot Yoga Academy in Barcelona. After practicing yoga for more than one year and finishing high school, I decided to expand my passion for yoga and follow the path of becoming a yoga teacher. The process of selection and decision of the best teacher training did not take long, my intuition lead straight away to Hot Yoga Academy, a branch of Yogalinda.  Hot Yoga Academy had professional and experienced instructors, guests and participants from all over the world and one of the best locations to spend the summer, Barcelona. The lectures, hot yoga classes, the life in the city and new friends stay deep in my heart and I have fond memories of the course I took in 2019.

Yoga teacher training at Hot Yoga Academy opened several career opportunities, I gained knowledge, and experience and the certified yoga diploma from Yoga Alliance helped me to continue walking the path into fitness and yoga.  I applied to Sport Studies in Hanze University, Netherlands; the application mostly included videos, described experience from the teacher training and a recommendation from Heather Anderson, the owner of Hot Yoga Academy. Knowledge from the course has added a huge bonus to my studies and teaching, not only was it my first serious and brave travel abroad which helped me to improve my English skills, I also learned anatomy, marketing, coaching, vitality and healthy lifestyle. I became much more confident and skilled in preparing content for classes and teaching after the courses I have started volunteering in yoga studio in my hometown and teaching vinyasa yoga in small events.

We keep in touch with the group of the Hot Yoga Teacher Trainees even two years later everyone shares advice, feedback to each other, important events and changes in life. Three months after the training I have travelled to visit a fellow group member and roommate Monica, I had the opportunity to see the beautiful city of Gothenburg in Sweden, participate in Monica’s classes and join the local gym. Since October 2021, I have started an internship for my studies at Hot Yoga Academy, it is heartwarming to see the development of the studio and remember my good times in Barcelona. Hot Yoga Academy keeps helping me to reach my future dream of owning a yoga studio.

With Love,

Milda
